Uptime Institute 2020
On December 6th, 2019 Uptime Institute’s parent company, The 451 Group, announced its strategy to deepen its commitment to the global delivery and expansion of services for the burgeoning market for digital infrastructure performance assurance services.
As part of that announcement, Uptime’s parent announced and concluded a definitive agreement to sell its widely respected research and data company, 451 Research, LLC to S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI), the leading provider of credit ratings, benchmarks, and analytics in the global capital and commodity markets.

What does this mean to you?
There will be no impact to Uptime Institute clients, prospects, partners or graduates with the sale of the 451 Research division as the two 451 Group organizations have always remained two independent operating divisions with the 451 Group. Uptime Institute clients and prospects will continue to enjoy all existing engagement processes, award certifications, unique “peer-to-peer” member networks and business relationships and will further benefit as additional Uptime Institute resources are deployed to bring more expertise to more markets around the world. Partners will continue to conduct business as they do today, with the same teams they work with already. Graduates will continue to be recognized for their achievements and expertise.
Going forward, we will grow resources across all disciplines globally and will continue to provide relevant, experience-based thought leadership and intelligence for the digital infrastructure industry. Uptime Institute will continue to accumulate and leverage its vast understanding of actual client experiences and business results along with decades of certifying data centers around the globe to guide clients looking to create, operate and grow digital infrastructure.
